Welcome

Welcome to the “web” entrance of Central United Methodist Church!  I hope you’ll find these pages to be helpful in your search for a church family or information about Central.  We are a welcoming mid-size downtown congregation of people from many places.  Some have lived in Newberry all their lives.  Some less so.  Again, all are very welcome!  Central has groups, classes and events to help you discover a path to deeper meaning, a fuller live and faith in Christ.  Programs are geared to all ages.  Worship is rich with Biblically based preaching, inspiring prayers and thoughts along with beautiful music of varying styles.  There is a 9am contemporary and 11am traditional service each week.  Open up a tab, surf the site and you’ll discover many spots and ways to grow your heart at this place in the heart of wonderful Newberry!

Children's Church at Central

God Says "You are Awesome!"  And we think so too! Children's Church is offered during the 9:00 a.m service for children ages 4 - through 3rd grade.  Children are invited to go to  Children's Church after the Children's Moments in the worship service.  In a unique worship space created just for them, children will be introduced to a child-friendly, discovery-oriented worship experience where they feel like they belong.  With a Children's Church, we at Central are sending the message that we care enough about our children to have their own worship service.  For more information, contact the church office.
