LOVING THE STRANGER

The 71st Day of Love

Memory Verse— Deuteronomy 10:18. Love the strangers, providing them food.

The Prayer—Help us to feed strangers as we would like others to feed us, if we were strangers, and we were hungry.

The Affirmation— I will help feed strangers. So many strangers help to make my food possible every day.

The Scripture Lesson— Deuteronomy 10:18-22

The Meditation

It is sometimes easier to love a stranger than to

love someone we have known a long time. We

do not know all the faults of the stranger.

Did you ever stop to think about all the strangers

involved in making your food possible for just

one day? We live because strangers feed us.

The stranger at our door is easier to feed than the

stranger on the other side of the world—we

forget about him.

There are millions who would gladly eat out of

our garbage cans if they could only get their

hands on them.

We cannot win a half-starved world with a half-

hearted love.

Could you fast for one meal per month and give

to the stranger food that he needs?
